Our kindergarten program will follow Texas Essential Knowledge of Skills (TEKS). All research base curriculum materials will cover the standards outlined on the website for kindergarten (tea.state.tx.us).

 

Children will engage in and build on prior knowledge and curiosity to enhance their understanding of reading, writing, oral language, whole number concepts, sorting to explore numbers, data, shapes, geometry, spatial relations, and measurement skills. Other content areas to address in kindergarten are: science, social studies, art, music, technology, theatre, physical and health education.

 

Your child will receive assessments in the core areas and report cards quarterly.

 

To help foster your child’s love for literacy, parents will receive an early literacy book list to purchase personal books of interest for your child. 

 

We will send weekly communications home with opportunities for you to assist your child at home and school.
